From Emergency Repairs to Full Installations
Whether it’s a leaking pipe, a failing water heater, or plumbing for a brand-new build, our licensed team handles projects of every size across the metro east region.
Emergency Plumbing
Burst pipes, sewer backups, no hot water, when it can’t wait, we answer. Day or night, Priority Plumbing shows up fast and fixes it right the first time.
Drains &
Sewer
Slow drains, clogs, and sewer line problems don’t fix themselves. From drain cleaning to full sewer replacement, we diagnose the root cause and get it flowing again.
Commercial Plumbing
Businesses can’t afford plumbing downtime. We handle everything from backflow testing and maintenance contracts to restaurant drain service and new construction rough-ins.
Water
Quality
If your water smells, tastes off, or leaves buildup on everything — there’s a fix. We install whole-home filtration, water softeners, HALO systems, and treat well water at the source.
Water
Heaters
No hot water is never convenient. We repair, replace, and install both tank and tankless water heaters — usually same day, and always with upfront pricing.
Pumps
Sump pumps, well pumps, ejector pumps — we install, repair, and replace all of them. Don’t wait for a pump failure to become a flooded basement or a dry tap.

When Something in Your Home Stops Working Right
A faucet that won’t stop dripping. A garbage disposal that hums but won’t spin. Water pooling under your kitchen sink. An outdoor spigot that leaks every time you hook up the hose. These aren’t catastrophic problems, but they’re aggravating, they waste water, and left alone they usually get worse.
Â
We handle the full range of general plumbing repairs for residential and commercial customers throughout Metro East Illinois such as faucets, sinks, showers, tubs, garbage disposals, dishwasher and washing machine connections, and outdoor spigots. Most repairs are completed same-visit. We carry common parts on our trucks so you’re not waiting on a callback after a parts run.
Â
Priority Plumbing Services is licensed, bonded, and insured in Illinois (License No. 055-045366). Our repair-first approach means we fix what’s in front of us, not what adds to the ticket. Every job is backed by a 1-year warranty and 100% satisfaction guarantee. If something isn’t right after we leave, we come back and fix it.
Signs Your Plumbing Needs Attention
- Faucet Drips Constantly or Won't Shut Off Completely
A dripping faucet isn’t just annoying, a faucet leaking one drip per second wastes over 3,000 gallons of water per year. Worn washers, failing cartridges, and corroded valve seats are the most common causes. Most faucet repairs are straightforward and completed in one visit.Â
Â
Urgency: Schedule soon — drips rarely fix themselves and the waste adds up fast.
- Water Under the Kitchen or Bathroom Sink
Water pooling in the cabinet under your sink usually points to a loose supply line, failed drain basket gasket, P-trap leak, or a cracked drain line. It can also mean the faucet itself is leaking from the base. The source isn’t always obvious, we trace it correctly before replacing anything.Â
Â
Urgency: Call soon — cabinet moisture leads to mold and wood damage quickly.
- Garbage Disposal Humming, Jammed, or Dead
A humming disposal that won’t spin usually means a jammed impeller, often fixable without replacement. A disposal that won’t turn on at all may have a tripped reset button or a failed motor. Leaks from the bottom typically mean the unit itself has failed and needs replacement.Â
Â
Urgency: Schedule soon — a jammed or leaking disposal makes the kitchen sink unusable.
- Shower or Tub Dripping After You Turn It Off
A shower or tub faucet that keeps dripping after shutoff usually means a worn cartridge or faulty valve seat. Left running, it wastes water continuously and can lead to grout and tile moisture damage behind the wall over time.Â
Â
Urgency: Schedule soon — dripping shower valves don’t self-correct.
- Outdoor Spigot Leaking or Won't Shut Off
A hose bib that leaks at the handle or continues dripping after shutoff usually has a worn packing washer or faulty valve. A frost-free spigot that leaks inside the wall is more serious, it may mean the anti-siphon valve has failed or the pipe behind it is damaged.Â
Â
Urgency: Fix before winter — a failing outdoor spigot left unrepaired can freeze and burst the supply line inside your wall.
Types of General Plumbing Repairs We Handle
- Faucet Repair & Replacement
Kitchen faucets, bathroom faucets, single-handle and two-handle units, pull-down and pull-out styles. We repair leaks, replace worn cartridges, fix loose handles, and install new faucets when repair isn’t the right call. All brands and configurations.
- Sink & Drain Repair
Kitchen sink leaks, bathroom sink cracks, drain basket replacements, P-trap repairs, and supply line replacement. If water is getting under your sink cabinet, whether from above or below, we find the source and fix it correctly.
- Garbage Disposal Repair & Replacement
Jammed disposals, humming units, leaking disposals, disposals that won’t turn on, and dishwasher drain connections to the disposal. We repair what can be repaired and replace units that have genuinely reached end of life, InSinkErator and all major brands.
- Shower, Tub & Bathroom Fixture Repair
Shower valve repair and cartridge replacement, tub spout repair, fiberglass tub crack repair, slow shower drains, and showerhead replacements. We also handle shower and tub installation for bathroom remodels.
Benefits of Professional Plumbing Repair
- Fix It Once, Fix It Right
A dripping faucet repaired with the wrong cartridge or a garbage disposal reinstalled without addressing the root cause will fail again. We identify what’s actually causing the problem before we fix it, so you’re not calling us back for the same issue two months later.
- Repair First, Replace Only When It Makes Sense
Not every leaking faucet needs a new faucet. Not every garbage disposal that won’t start needs a replacement. We give you an honest assessment of repair vs replace — with real numbers, and let you decide. The EPA estimates household leaks waste nearly 10,000 gallons of water per year on average. Fixing them promptly saves water and money.
- Same-Day Service on Most Repairs
General plumbing repairs rarely require ordering parts. Our trucks carry common faucet cartridges, supply lines, P-trap assemblies, garbage disposals, and hose bibs, which means most repairs are handled the same visit without a return trip.
- Licensed Work With a Warranty
A repair done by an unlicensed handyman may fix the symptom without addressing the cause, and may not hold up when you go to sell your home or file an insurance claim. Every repair we do is performed by a licensed Illinois plumber and backed by our 1-year warranty.
- Serving Homes and Businesses
General plumbing repairs apply to commercial properties just as much as residential ones. Leaking fixtures, jammed disposals, and failing supply lines in a restaurant or commercial facility cause the same disruption, we respond to commercial repair calls across Metro East Illinois on the same basis as residential.

General Plumbing Repair Questions
How much does a plumbing repair cost?
It depends on the job. A faucet cartridge replacement runs less than a garbage disposal swap-out. We provide a written estimate before any work begins so you know the cost upfront. We also offer financing through Wisetack if needed for a larger repair or same-visit fixture replacement.
Should I repair or replace my faucet?
If the faucet is relatively new and the fix is a single worn cartridge or washer, repair almost always makes more sense. If the faucet is old, corroded, or the repair cost approaches the price of a new unit, replacement may be the better call. We give you both numbers and let you decide, no pressure either way.
My garbage disposal is making a humming noise but not spinning, is it done?
Not necessarily. A humming disposal that won’t spin usually means the impeller is jammed, often by a piece of food debris or a foreign object. There’s a reset button on the bottom of the unit and a hex key slot that can manually free a jammed impeller. If that doesn’t work, call us, it’s usually a quick fix that doesn’t require replacement.
Can you repair appliance connections like dishwasher lines, washing machine hookups?
Yes. Dishwasher drain lines, water supply connections to dishwashers, washing machine hot and cold supply lines, and washing machine drain connections are all standard plumbing repairs. If your dishwasher isn’t draining or your laundry room has water on the floor after a wash cycle, call us.
Do you handle outdoor spigot and hose bib repair?
Yes. Frost-free spigot repairs, hose bib replacements, and outdoor faucet leaks are common repair calls across Metro East Illinois, especially in spring after winter freeze damage. If your outdoor spigot leaks at the handle, drips after shutoff, or won’t turn off at all, we fix it.
Do you service commercial properties for general plumbing repairs?
Yes. Leaking faucets, jammed disposals, and failing fixtures in commercial kitchens, restaurants, and office facilities are handled on the same licensed, insured basis as residential work. Call (618) 207-1647 and we’ll get you on the schedule.
