A hydraulic head is pulled through the existing sewer line, bursting the old pipe outward into the surrounding soil as it travels. A new HDPE pipe is attached to the head and pulled into place behind it, replacing the old line entirely without a full trench. Requires an entry pit and a receiving pit at each end of the replaced section. Most effective for full sewer line replacement in lines that are structurally failing but not severely collapsed.
- Epoxy Pipe Lining, CIPP
A flexible liner saturated with structural epoxy resin is inserted into the existing pipe and inflated against the pipe walls, then cured in place, creating a new pipe within the old one. Most effective for cracked, root-invaded, or corroded pipe that is still intact enough to support the liner during installation.
